507 Coronavirus Deaths In India In 24 Hours, Biggest Jump So Far

India reported the highest one-day coronavirus deaths at 507 this morning, taking the total number of deaths so far to 17,400. The total number is cases is now 5,85493, with 18,653 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate is 59.43 per cent, government data shows. The total sample tested till June 30 is 88,26,585. At least 2,17,931 samples were tested on Tuesday, of which 8.55 per cent turned out positive. The five states that have reported the highest number of cases in the last 24 hours are Maharashtra (4,878), Tamil Nadu (3,943), Delhi (2,199), Karnataka (947) and Telangana (945). The highest number of one-day deaths have been reported from Maharashtra (245), Delhi (62), Tamil Nadu (60), Uttar Pradesh (25) and Karnataka (20).
