Chennai's Vaccination Drive for Covaxin Second dose

The Greater Chennai corporation has launched an exclusive two-day vaccination drive for second dose of Covaxin today and tomorrow in a bid to inoculate 59,000 people who are behind the schedule. The city has administered 23.6 lakh doses while the state tally has crossed 1.6 crore doses. 23.2 lakh people have taken both doses. With vaccination gaining momentum after hesitancy in the initial phase, the state government has demanded 2 crore doses a month, targeting around six lakh doses daily.
